btuftin reviewed Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning (The Fever series)
Review of 'Darkfever' on 'Goodreads'

I liked it, but it's not a complete book, it's all build-up and no resolution, and I don't care enough about the character and the world to continue the, by all signs exciting and action packed series. Yes, I wrote "character" singular. Apart from her dead sister the POV character, and this is written in first person, doesn't care about anyone else, and so no one else is described in sufficient detail for me to give a f***. There's a ton of foreboding and hints that there are dark things to come, and eventually you figure out that she is writing this from sometime quite later than the book's events, but very few of these events happen in this book, and I'm not really tempted to keep reading to find out what comes next.
