My motivation for reading this was to be able to dismiss it with authority, and I was not disappointed. Bella is a self-destructive ... I'd say moron, but it's possible she's just a teenager. Edward on the other hand doesn't have the excuse of youth.
After reading the first I didn't really see myself reading the rest, but I hate returning borrowed books unread, and I had a few days to waste. What this series needs is some vampire slayers that aren't also whining teenagers.
