Don Tillman knows he's wired somewhat differently from others, but sees significant advantages to this in many areas. Having struck out approaching dating the conventional way, he decides to use his strengths in calm rational analysis to eliminate all unsuitable candidates and never have a "wasted" date again by using a multiple choice questionnaire of his own design to vet every prospect. He dubs this approach The Wife Project. According to the questionnaire Rosie is entirely unsuitable, so why did Don's friend Gene set them up on a date, and why does Don enjoy spending time with her, even if it wreaks havoc with his otherwise very detailed and unchanging schedule?

The Rosie Project is something as unusual as a thought provoking romantic comedy. What is love? What is normal? What do you do when your prose is imperfect without a third question and you can't really come up with one right now?
