Review of 'Insurgent' on 'Goodreads'

Okay, maybe it's 2.5 stars, but although I'll read the next, and hopefully last book in this series, this one kept annoying me. I can see how keeping things unknown for so long makes sense since Tris is the narrator and is in the dark, but it became more and more exasperating. Why are these people doing the things they do? The world of this book makes so little sense, and when finally some light is shed on things it's too little or too meaningless. It's like doing a puzzle with too few pieces and when someone gives you a handful of new ones they only fit if you discard 80% of the previous ones. I've no great hope that another book will redeem this series, but although this book at times felt like a chore I'm still curious where things are go so I'm somewhat looking forward to it despite everything.
