Tsedal Neeley: Remote Work Revolution (2021, HarperCollins Publishers) 4 stars

nothing about my entire field lol, but some good advice in there

This is all the rage at mpow right now and I wanted to read it to know what was up. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed both the performance and the writing style. It was extreeeeemely written from a business/corporate standpoint and disappointing that the only non-profit example was the US Patent Office. It’s too bad because I know a lot of educators are already turning to this as a resource and it feels poised to encourage more neoliberal/college-as-factory thinking, though I really hope IHEs will have a nuanced approach to presenting it if they’re teaching with it or assigning it to employees. Anyway, there’s good stuff in here on team building & dynamics that I did think was valuable advice. I’m sure this is gonna be a huge title in a ton of workplaces this year.
