I really wanted this book to be more cohesive than it actually was. That said, Corey Robin is a clear eyed writer, and this collection of essays by him is very good. However, you should know going in, it's a collection, and not one cohesive book.

EDIT: The second edition does a much better job of tying the essays together. I recommend this book all the time
