Ernest Hemingway: Ernest Hemingway (Hardcover, 1983, Scribner)

Review of 'Ernest Hemingway' on 'Goodreads'

You know, the hero reminds me greatly as someone in between Albert Camus' Meursault in The Stranger and whoever the main character is in one of Kerouac's stream of consciousness books. He's detached from the world, socially acceptable but basically skating through life without getting tied to anything. He diverges from Meursault when everything is taken from him at the end, though.

A depressing end to the book.
