Stories help me see more.

It's not a bad book. It's "short" compared with other Sanderson books. After I finished I found out that this was originally a writing exercise that got turned into a one-off book. I enjoyed the book well enough, and I am looking forward to the next trilogy. It was fun and action-packed.

reviewed The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (The Stormlight Archive, #1)

I enjoyed this book a lot. I will recommend it to others. My brain was quite a bit muddled by the beginning of the book, which is the fault of my brain. I am excited to see what more there is.

I really liked this book. I felt that the author did a superb job of giving multiple people's perspectives and motivations. It was a really enjoyable book and I can safely recommend it if you like fantasy books.

I tried to go back to back from book #1 to this book; I had difficulty. Book #1 ended in a lot of excitement and book #2 had to start a new story, which meant new setup and a slower pace. It's really my fault for enjoying the first book and trying to go straight into the second without pausing. You do get to see more development of the "main" story. So book #2 took a while longer for me to read than book #1, but after I gave myself a little pause in reading, I was hooked again.

reviewed Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (Ready Player One, #1)

This book took me much too long to read for how good it is. [a:Ernest Cline|31712|Ernest Cline|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1310753539p2/31712.jpg] really did a great job with this book, and despite it starting slow for me, and me being a slow reader, once the hook got set I couldn't stop reading until the story was finished.

reviewed The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #2)

Patrick Rothfuss: The Wise Man’s Fear (Hardcover, 2011, Daw Books)

This was a very good book. I was reading the first book as this one was being published and went straight into reading this book. I went from years of not reading to reading 2000 pages in relatively short order (couple of weeks) and came away very satisfied. It might have been wise for me to pace myself a little more though.

Don't read this book until you read the first book. Then you won't really need me to tell you whether or not you should read this book.
