I like the way that the story was told from a combination of perspectives and viewpoints. The individual characters were well developed, and the secret lives of most were surprising but not difficult to believe, given the development of the characters.
What started out as a sort of ho-hum "it's another young mother with the problem" story ended up painting interesting characters with their own interesting fears, quirks, and hangups who were close to and concerned with a potentially tragic situation. The ending "bad guy" was not overly surprising to me, as a regular reader of mysteries", but the end situation really was. I enjoyed the book a lot, and I look forward to reading Aimee Molloy's other works.
