It was actually quite good. I had a bit of annoyance with the punctuation; I think the author was Irish, and I like to think that probably my problem was just because of differences in the country standards and dialect norms. This was started out as a standard ministry, but the amount of character description and individual insights was definitely nonstandard. The main characters mysteries from early on were NOT answered, but it wasn't a case of it just seems like the author ignored the end. The author specifically didn't answer unanswered questions. Anyway, I may even continue with this series.
