Not that fond of the narrator, but he kind of grows on you. I like the richness of the depictions of the characters, and the author's refusal to make people the way you want them to be. To me, it's a little bit different for a Mark Twain book, because it doesn't seem to have an obligatory "happy ending", although with thought-provoking, and the reader can make it as happy as he or she wants/needs. Very interesting book, and, as I say, quite thought-provoking!
