Dorothy Gilman: The clairvoyant countess (1975, Doubleday)

Review of 'The clairvoyant countess' on 'Goodreads'

I think this was Ed McBain's first 87th precinct mystery. It doesn't make it any less classic Ed Mcbain. It had been awhile since I had read any of his books, although I had been a real fan in high school and college. The one thing about this book was it seemed a little bit less complex than I associated with him, but that might just be the a was in his career when he wrote it.
