Still Life with Woodpecker is a sort of a love …

Rest in Peace, Mr. Robbins. I read this back in the 1990s and read many others afterward. Paraphrasing a co-worker a long time ago, "'Still Life With Woodpecker' is must reading for redheads."

Randy Wayne White: One Deadly Eye (2024, Harlequin Enterprises ULC) No rating

Devoured this in a weekend. I have read every Doc Ford and Hannah Smith novel by White. An action-filled page-turner. Possibly the thinnest of these books. I read this the closest to seeing the companion series on TV so the comparisons came easily. (I've read all after seeing the series once.) The TV series didn't seem to stray as far from the book in this one as in some of the others.
