Richard Mason: The wind cannot read (Hardcover, 1946, Hodder & Stoughton limited)

None

Classic weepie possibly similar to Han Suyin's "Love is a Many-Splendoured Thing." Westerner falls in love with his Japanese teacher, much heartache follows.
My late mum had a copy of this book otherwise I doubt I would ever have read it.
Fun fact: a passage in "The Wind Cannot Read" appears to be the origin of the Elvis Costello song title "I Don't want to go to Chelsea."
