I didn't get on with this one, which is odd because I have enjoyed Goody and Grant's other novels and stories. It just didn't work for me, whether it was the humour, the unlikeable characters, the wasting of an excellent premise (the Old Ones or whatever living in Birmingham's canals and under the city streets) or what, but it was not for me.
