Review of 'Shatterpoint (Star Wars: Clone Wars Novel)' on 'Goodreads'

Stover hits another adaptation out of the part, fleshing out Jedi Master Mace Windu, and showing why he is one of the most respected lightsaber duelists of the Jedi Order. The writing was top notch, and the scenario, while not what I expected, turned out to be perfect for the characterization. A recommended Windu story, along with the appearance on the Clone Wars.

The story itself isn't new- he goes off to find his former apprentice after receiving an ominous message. What did hit me was the way that the darkness pervades this book- more than most Star Wars books, and how the journey for Mace Windu took him through some dark representations of war. In most cases, war in the Star Wars universe is a very sterile thing. Not in this book.

It ends with a complete character Arc from Mace, showing his development in a very tangible manner.

Recommended.
