It started out as many begin, slow and stumbling. I doubted I would be able to get through the book, but I persevered,, and was rewarded. Moore reveals the world in fits and starts. It's hard to tell who the primary protagonist is, and that keeps you on your toes. And then the world upends and you find that every trope you have been looking at is not what you thought. A very good exercise in worldbuilding, and a very good piece of prose. Buying the second one right now to start on it. Recommended.
