An enjoyable prequel to Bone, Rose does have its limits. While Bone managed to balance the epic with the intimate, Rose ends up feeling slightly rushed. While its hard to keep the same kind of suspense for a prequel where we already know the big reveal, it is a shame that this beautifully illustrated comic does not deliver the same punch as Bone. Also, the ending is actually wrong based on how the characters in Bone talk about the past, which seems a weird continuity mistake.
