Richard H. Thaler: Nudge (Paperback, 2009, Penguin Books)

Thaler and Sunstein develop libertarian paternalism as a middle path between command-and-control and strict-neutrality choice …

Reading this 13 years after it was released, it struck me how common-place and non-surprising most of the ideas in this book are. I guess this might because it's been so successful that the ideas have permeated the political sphere, but also because the big “Freakonomics” umbrella of books/podcasts have spread these and similar ideas.

It's still a good book, though, and for the most part succinct, except for a few pages at the beginning of many of the chapters that are only meant to prepare (American) conservatives for the next idea about to be introduced that may be construed as “socialist” or “nanny state”.
