Eoghann Mill Irving reviewed Changes by Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files, #12)
Review of 'Changes' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
After 11 books Jim Butcher has established something of a formula for the Dresden Files books so I don't come to them looking for surprises. It's more slipping into a familiar world and visiting characters I'm fond of.
This novel is aptly named though. From the first page, Butcher tilts the table and he continues to destroy the status quo chapter after chapter. The final cliffhanger seems impossible for Harry to get out of, but no doubt there is a way.
The Harry Dresden novels are always fun to read and this was no exception. I am starting to wonder how much higher the stakes can be made though.
