This one was a disappointment… the idea sounds interesting, but the execution is quite dull. Remarkably little happens despite all the pages!

The writing style is not to my taste - there’s an excessive amount of similes and metaphors. They were often bland and didn’t add to my experience.

There’s not enough thriller, mystery, or romance here. Just hints of all 3. It’s hard to even review this because I was mainly bored! Would have DNFed if I wasn’t reading for a book club.
