This was a fun little adventure story. Not mindless violence like you might find in some action stories, a little more thoughtful than that. I was a big fan of Eet given that I love cats.

I enjoyed the setup to the story the most. I learned about Murdoc and enjoyed his history. The middle dragged as we went from one peril to the next without really progressing the overall story. Though I did enjoy the resourcefulness of our heroes. Murdoc didn’t feel overly amazing at everything - he relied heavily on Eet, somewhat to a fault, I think. It made him less interesting.

Then the ending was interesting again. The conclusion was pretty satisfying for me, with some extra mystery. I didn’t go into this read expecting something amazing, so it was fun!
