An interesting book with quite a unique multimodal aspect to it: the book is illustrated with real vintage photographs.

At times, the book is very dark and adult-like, and at other times, it reads like any other young adult fantasy novel. This combination of innocence and darkness makes the book appealing, but unfortunately the story was quite mediocre, although there are ingredients for something special in it.
