The story is so basic, so pedestrian, so positive, it left me begging for Winton to just pick one chapter and develop that into a book of its own.
I understand this is targeted at children, but I’m astounded those children are year 7s - surely with the lack of complexity, this is more the level of nine or ten years old, rather than 12 or 13?
