I enjoyed this in some parts more than others, but it was compellingly-written throughout. I never felt like it got terribly long-winded, despite it's 700+ pages. (Which I cannot say about all of Stephenson's books.)

Just about the only disappointing aspect of the novel was (and this may be a minor spoiler) that the concept of "termination shock" was explained, but no specific examples or depictions were given. I guess they were not terribly important to the novel, but then, by that metric, neither was the title.
