But mostly my life is good, only it's a different type of good from what I figured on.
This is another of the books I added based on Obama's read books from the previous year and it didn't disappoint. I had no expectations before setting out on this book and it immediately hooked me.
The story is about relationships, individuals and how time can change both. The premise of the book is straight forward but how the characters deal with their lives after a significant event occurs was wonderfully crafted.
Through the story there are elements of racism and struggles of growing up in America that it is just as relevant today as it would have been if this was written decades earlier.
Everything about this was great and I'm glad I gave it a chance as I was taking a detour from what I normally read.
