Not waiting to the end of the story for a climax the story of Y'Ghatan comes roaring out of the gate and it was incredible. For as dry as Erikson can be at times, he can really write an action sequence. Y'Ghatan was such a fun read that I kept thinking about the Bonehunters journey throughout the rest of the story.

Thankfully the story didn't peak early, but in standard series fashion, there were peaks and valleys. When the story is good it's good, but when it's dry it can feel endless.
