@hankg I do like the “perhaps” in, “since they were not written in the order in which (perhaps) they should be read.”
I started reading these in the 1970’s, before Asimov wrote the books that connect them. Each book works by itself, and each grouping works well. I think reading them in the order they were published works just as well as the “chronological” order. And reading them in random order wouldn’t be the worst thing. Whatever makes one happy.
