Not great, with too much focus on antics and not enough pages to cover the story it sets out to tell, but there is a kernel of a great story in there that's still worth the time

I've known that the common retelling of the 'First Thanksgiving' has been fiction for a long time now, but the extent to which it's a fairly recent fiction and holiday (6 generations maybe) ,and how thoroughly incorrect the standard notion what the southern new England indigenous population relationships with Europeans is still pretty staggering to read about.
