utterly fails to deliver on any of the execution,, and the mc is such a grating character i can't stand it. a disappointment, and i'm glad this is a library loan because if i spent money on this i'd have probably cried. :(

i was worried bc Headcase (book 4 in this series) was a complete letdown, just the absolute worst book i've ever read by this author and i low-key hated it. but this book is actually fine! much more likable characters, much better romance!

like it's not amazing or anything, but it does the job (unlike Headcase, which i will forever bear a grudge over).

btw, the formatting in the paperback is off. there are at least (to my memory) 3 instances where the final page of a chapter has been completely skipped in the book. the end of the page is in the middle of a sentence and then the next page is a new chapter :(

it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the book, however it does kind of feel like a diss from the author. like, that's the kind of huge formatting error that should have been caught prior to publication.
