I guess there are women who live this kind of life? I guess it’s worth being aware of their experience? But I’ve already heard it. I’ve seen this story. The obvious desire to elevate it with more literary writing was not successful. The bit with the harpy, for example, didn’t add enough to it that I think I’ll ever feel compelled to recommend this book to anyone. I was honestly very bored for the majority of it.
