Poorly written and lacked complexity. After Gibson's "Neuromancer," this felt like a cheap knockoff of a video-game geek's wet-dream — as written by an eighth grader.
The plot was not only predictable but dry, and the rare opportunity for a twist was forsaken. The pop-culture references made for some interesting dialog, but the occasional Hitchhiker's Guide or Monty Python reference certainly wasn't worth slogging through this. I was very excited for this book, and it was everything I hoped it wouldn't be.
