Journey with an eating disorder, weird SOs, and a narcissistic parent. Felt like a realistic depiction of some of the pains of life. I wouldn’t read it twice, but I’m glad I read it nonetheless.

A Good Read
4 stars
I started reading Valiant because of how much I enjoyed Holly Black's "The Cursed Prince" trilogy. Valiant also has a romance (subplot turned plot) and the characters do more morally-questionable things, but I'm glad I read the book! I'm going to keep going through the Modern Tale of Faerie series after this.
