A really good read about the nature of urbanization, the tech sector's silent role in shaping it against the people who live in and the way that governments are optimizing less for the people who live in these cities and more for the "global citizen" who can travel and visit them.

every time i read something like this i think of Achille Mbembe's Necropolitics; which is eugenics as a form of government. i tracks with their "efficiency" death cult.
