Mar is a transmasc latinx pirate whose life was saved at their birth when their father made a deal with El Diablo. On the sixteenth birthday, El Diablo calls in the deal and the souls of their father and his whole crew are taken. Mar themself is saved by their magic, power over ice and fire, but they must keep it hidden from others for fear of being attacked as a devil themself. Rescued by another crew and visited by a genderfluid demon, Mar sets out to save his father’s soul.
