I read this partially because it satisfied the book by or about someone that identifies as neurodiverse prompt in the 2019 Read Harder challenge. The fact that it's also a comedy made me a little uncomfortable, because I felt like the author was setting us up to laugh at someone who doesn't understand social cues. But then I found a comment on the author's GR page here that seems to suggest he didn't specifically write Don as autistic (even though the characters certainly hint that he is), so I guess I'm more okay with being amused by the comedic elements here. I'm not certain I want or need to read the next book, but I enjoyed this.
