jayvall reviewed When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare
Review of 'When a Scot Ties the Knot' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
When A Scot Ties the Knot starts off as a marriage by blackmail story, which honestly, doesn't put the hero in the best light, but by the end of the story, it's easy to understand why Logan is willing to blackmail his bride, and it's even kind of honorable.
The premise for getting these heroines their castles remains thin, but the castle is only barely the point here. It's just a vehicle, and in this book, the castle (and its surroundings) play a role in their romance as well.
Tessa Dare clearly writes not only to entertain others, but also to entertain herself. Some of the jokes here were a little too obvious, some of the dialogue a little too anachronistic ("You had one job!). But at the end of the day, Dare's books are always fun and this was no different.
I received this book for free from Avon in exchange for an unbiased review.
