I know this was some people's least favorite book, possibly because it was a retelling of the Last Duke of Wyndham but i think the retelling was what made me like it so much. I liked that only by reading both books did you get the full picture of what happened. Scenes where the H/h would walk out in LDOW, we got to see what happened after they left in MCIP. It reminded me of those children's books where it was two-books in one and told the same story from two different points of view.
