This book was written with absolute disregard for wit or passion. It is so utterly devoid of fun. The style is bland, and I mean, truly bland. The read might have been bearable if it had some playful descriptions or a plot with some punch to it, but alas, one is to wish for less, for our fate was to follow an affluent English fellow buying his way out of problems. I suppose that is a sort of story a person who never traveled but determined to write a book about traveling the world would cook up.
