I am an exvangelical, ex-fundamentalist, ex-Christian Nationalist raving batshit Duggar wannabe. I fled that culture 22 years ago after having six babies (within nine years) for Jesus in order to “take back our Christian nation” from all y’all unrepentant evil pagans in the USA. You are second-class citizens to these people. If you aren’t afraid that the Speaker of the House is a Christian nationalist, you should be. #ChristianNationalism #MikeJohnson #theocracy #VoteBlue

@jillrhudy I think unfortunately people who haven't seen it from the inside do not realize the level of threat. I do and I've been terrified since 2016.
Jill Minor replied to @CharleneTeglia's status
@CharleneTeglia I started being terrified in 2015 when I saw Trump’s campaign unfolding and knew exactly who he was talking to: my old crowd. Singing their song, note for note. And so many leaders in that movement have the same combo of antisocial narcissistic paranoia.
@CharleneTeglia replied to Jill Minor's status
@jillrhudy Yeah. That whole campaign was just creeping dread and astonishment that other people just...didn't see it.

@CharleneTeglia I actually translated a whole Trump speech into fundie right-wing dogwhistle English for some liberal friends once. They could not understand him, but I could.

@CharleneTeglia and the whole JERUSALEM thing. My blood ran cold. I thought: “They will now think Trump is paving the way to bring literal freaking Jesus back and *bow down and worship* the orange clump.” The students at Regent University decided Trump was a prophet-king and made a whole movie about him. Some theocrats call Trump Cyrus45 (because we are Babylon. Or the Whore of, which is my personal preference). #ChristianNationalism

@jillrhudy Yeah, the current Isreal/Hamas thing combined with a theocrat speaker in the house is a lot of very bad.

Mike Johnson is a member of The Seven Mountain Dominionist.
Church rules over goverment.
Jill Minor replied to Gatekeeper's status
@GatekeepKen Honestly didn't know about this "Seven Mountain" thing but I've been out of the movement for a long while. We did call ourselves Dominionists. And Theonomists. Thanks for the update. This all totally tracks: https://politicalresearch.org/2016/08/18/dominionism-rising-a-theocratic-movement-hiding-in-plain-sight

Mike Pompeo is one.

@GatekeepKen Evidently 7M started in 2013 and I had been out for 12 years by then. Not every pastor is keen on it apparently. For instance, this guy: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/seven-mountain-mandate/

This is symbolic of all religion being different cults and sects and despising eachother. Religion devides people and culture, all the while stymies growth and cultural development.
Jill Minor replied to Gatekeeper's status
@GatekeepKen Aaaaand David Barton of Wallbuilders, writer of homeschool fabricated history books from back in my time, has crawled out from under a rock in Texas because he's the Speaker's main guru. Lovely. https://www.texastribune.org/2023/11/03/david-barton-mike-johnson-texas-church-state-christianity/

@jillrhudy @GatekeepKen Yes, that worked so well for Iran. Where do these evil religious fanatics keep coming from?
