Overall the book was fine and the story it was trying to tell was good enough. It introduced some new world-building components and new conflicts, which were introduced good enough.

What for me was missing, were the paragraphs of overly detailed nerdy description, which was full of in the first one.

I recommend it, but don't expect a Ready Player One Part 2.
