@joyce@hcommons.social I think I've definitely read it before, and I own several similar books from the same author. It's a really cool structure that explores the whole history of the city, which is a perspective you don't get as much. I really enjoy these books, though they are getting to be 30 years old and some of the details aren't quite right according to current research. 😂

@rupert@mastodon.nz I haven't read New York, I don't think... Might be the only one of his I haven't at this point. 😂 I may have to reread Russka at some point; it's sitting on my shelf right next to where London will go when I'm finished with it (hopefully tomorrow).
