I generally only read fiction, mostly fantasy and sci-fi (or, ideally, a mix of the two). I also really enjoy horror in other media, but for some reason, horror books just never struck a chord for me.
Some people probably would call me pretentious, given that I tend to most enjoy media that requires at some intellectual work by the audience, or that just really stick with you in a meaningful way. But I haven't, unfortunately, read many books in that vein yet.
Some of my favorites: - Borne - Broken Earth Trilogy - Remembrance of Earth's Past Trilogy - Gardens of the Moon (haven't finished more books in the Malazan series at point of writing)
