George Carlin: Napalm & silly putty (2001, Hyperion)

An irresistibly insouciant assortment of musings, questions, assertions, and assumptions guaranteed to please the millions …

Review of 'Napalm & silly putty' on 'Goodreads'

No doubt honoring his spirit, I have to give it to Carlin that he’s both very entertaining as well as aan utter prick in this no-holds-barred patchwork of text scraps.

What’s getting mildly irritating here and there is the anti-bourgeois shockseeking reflex. To me that dates this work in a bad way, and tbh I kinda sorta like the admittedly bourgeois inclination towards non-assholeism.

Yet, the work stands. A toast to that!
