I caught myself forgetting why we're calling Duck-Queens ship the same as Abumwei's (sorry for spelling of names, I listened to the thing, all right?) and had to think hard to figure out there's no inconsistency. Even during the same book I forget what happens to the characters that are not The World. Yet as it's the end of the series, the first thing I was trying to figure out was "who's story is still open?" Eh. But yeah, the 5th and this book were my favourite ones in the series.
