A really enlightening book that includes not only descriptions of the animals on the path of mammalian evolution, but the stories of paleontology discovery and scenes from what life may have been for our distant cousins and ancestors. Most importantly it not only tells what we know, but why we know it. I will never look at teeth the same again.
