This book is structured as a series of brief passages that are musings on love, on sex of all genders, on parenting, on writing. Nelson elegantly interweaves the themes throughout the book and I often found her ideas thought provoking. Her world is definitely not my world, and I felt a bit voyeuristic at times, but in the end her intelligent exploration of her own life deepened understanding of my own.
