I picked this book up as a consequence of seeing the first episode of the Apple TV+ adaptation - and I couldn’t be more pleased. The pacing is perfect, keeping you constantly on your toes wondering what’s coming next, with the reveal of the truths about the existence of the Silo delivered at exactly the right times in the story. The characterisation is strong - and the lead character is one you truly root for.
