Silly fun - a very easy read. Some unanswered questions - but, in many ways, they add to the story - like all good sci fi, there’s room for a sequel! Really enjoyed the “redshirts always die on away missions” idea being fleshed out into a story of multiverses and meta-narratives.
Not book related: I hadn’t realised until I read the afterword on this that Scalzi was a Creative Consultant on Stargate Universe, which (frankly) was so exponentially ahead of its time that it was almost Deep Space 9.
