I think I mentioned moral panics in my review of There's Something Killing the Children and it turns out Tynion has a whole other series about them and conspiracy theories in general.

This definitely feels like a story that reflects the Zeitgeist, taking all of the interest and engagement with conspiracies and weaving it's own grand conspiracy between them. The art is that scrappy, impressionistic style in the vein of Sienkiewicz, which suits the mood and ambiguity of the story well.

It's a great opener and it'll be interesting to see where it goes. Would definitely recommend to fans of the Your Wrong About podcast or the Illuminatus trilogy etc.
